I called the county yesterday and yes, the township can fix sidewalks and put it on property taxes. Not only can they do it, it's their legal responsibility to do it. About 9 months ago, an elderly lady down the street broke her wrist walking her dog. According to the county, if she had gotten a lawyer the Township would have been part of the lawsuit. By the looks of things, Huber Ridge is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
By the way, the county doesn't know why our trustees can't figure out how to fix sidewalks and assess property owners - other twp do it all the time. I'm sure if it's a training issue, they would come out and show you how it's done.

Also, if I can find this out on my lunch hour, what's taking you guys to long?
