Columbus Water

Welcome

Welcome to the neighborhood Jason. An now welcome to our world. This is the reason so many people in the area have decided to move or are not able to stay in their homes and had to relocate to the local apartment complexes to keep their children in the local schools. I don't know the answer to your question about other areas who have this same water company but I do know that this has been a major problem in our community. Good luck.

The rates for Gahanna water are outrageous.  I used to live in a house and paid about $60 a quarter.  Here, I'm paying over $60/month.  Currently, I'm in an apartment, and I'd love to stay in Gahanna because I'd rather not move my daughter in schools again, but I don't know that I'd be able to afford the water bill.

Hi Nancy, thank you for the heads up. We just bought a home here in this comm. and like Jason, we had no idea about the monthly water bill, we are used to the quarterly bill of 140$ orso also. The main reason we moved here was for the better school district and this is a surprise to us. I guess it shows to always do your homework. sigh.

Other than this I am grateful for this forum, ty :)

Hi Jason, and welcome.  I will be brief so you have an answer.  OAW serves Sunbury Woods, Darby Creek, areas in Blacklick, Marion, etc.  Bottom line is they are the most outrageous in their rates.  Please call Jim Welch, HRAA president.  (The HRAA is simply neighbors - volunteers -  who care about Huber Ridge, and have joined together to make a difference.  We hope you will join us.)

Jim's phone number is 882-8959.  He is the most knowledgeable on this matter.

But seriously, we have a family of five.  I am getting ready to pay a water bill of $81.77, which includes one week vacation.

Seriously.
