Huber Ridge Area

This information was on the Blendon Township Neighbors site. Does anyone know these people? Does anyone feel they could speak with these folks and see if there is something we can do as neighbors to improve our neighborhood. I do not know these people, but I am sure someone does. If not, now is a good time to meet them.

I am very concerned about the appearance of our neighborhood coming off SR 161 On Beunos Aires there's a large pontoon boat parked in the front lawn of a home. first of all I think there is probably an ordinance forbiding this, secondly it is an eyesore. There is a makeshift leanto built onto the front of the house that is dilapidated and a real eyesore. I cringe at what people think when coming into our neighborhood.. Who should I contact to do something about this mess and to get it cleaned up so we don't look like we are a trashy neighborhood.

High tide?

I have cringed many times at the sight of that house even before the boat was parked in the front lawn. It's embarrassing to say the least, and makes our community look trashy.
If the rules haven't changed since I was in college, grass is not a legal parking surface and the owner may be issued a parking violation. If nothing is done to correct the situation, the boat would be towed away.
Anyone care to check with the police on this?

First, thanks for caring about the neighborhood. You are not alone in your concern about this home. At least five neighbors have compained to me about it.

I have forwarded the address to Franklin County Zoning a number of times for various violations at the request of these residents. And I will send a copy of your posting to Joe Bailey of Franklin County Economic Development and Planning for his review of your concerns.

What we do with our properties affects our neighbors. That is one aspect of ''community.'' It is my personal hope that we will all be more community minded. I am still learning, and I hope to help others in the process.

Anyone can contact Franklin County Zoning and Health with complaints. We have a link to the Health Department on our website. I plan to put a link to Franklin County Economic Development and Planning as well.

Thank you Pam, it is refreshing to know that this is also an eyesore to others...... if we don't care what our neighborhood looks like no one will. Also I wanted to mention Marnie speaking up...I appreciate the backing, if enough of us complain to the Health Dept. maybe we will see action taken, and we can move forward in getting our neighborhood looking good...

I would be very interested in the link to the Franklin County Development.......

When passing another vehichle on Buenos Aires just last week, an Officer was marking it and next day I did not see it.... Yet at this same address of 5599 Beunos Aires a white van has been parked in the same spot for over a year, it has not been marked no moved in that time.....
