To all who view the discussion section on a regular basis,
Friday night, October 3, a resident on Bashaw heard someone enter the home. The door was unlocked. The resident met the two criminals at the door and they fled through the woods. They were not caught - yet.
We need to keep all doors, windows, garages, and vehicles locked. We need to watch out for each other and report any suspicious activity.
A Crime Alert from Blendon Township Police was delivered to the door of all residents in Area G - Bashaw, Mexico, Santiago, Bogota, Managua, Natalie, Spohn, and Montevideo by our street reps around September 12. This alert applies to the community in general:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SEPTEMBER 12, 2008, Blendon Township Police Department has taken five residential burglary reports within the last thirty days. Each of these homes was burglarized during the overnight hours while the homeowners were asleep.
The victims are primarily located on Montevideo, Natalie Court, Mexico, and Bashaw; however, the target area may extend to other areas.
It is recommended that residents lock all doors, windows, and garages before going to bed.
You should also remove all valuables from your vehicles that are parked outside. Take a few moments to check your door and window locks to ensure they are properly working.
Remember to call Blendon Township Police if you see anyone suspicious in the area. You are never wrong for calling the police if you feel something isn't right.
BT Officers can be reached 24 hours a day at 614-889-9494.
