Huber Ridge Area

I am having problems with Excessive Dog Barking on this street. I have now been listening to this animal bark its head off for the past 63 minutes (I really do time it, because I want to be sure I'm not exaggerating), and its nowhere near stopping. It normally goes on for 1.5-3.5 hours, sometimes more/less, but it is just non-stop noise, all the time. I used to enjoy having my windows open in the fall, but not anymore!

Is anyone else hearing this? Ideas on what to do? I'm going insane!!!!!!

Dear Neighbor,

In your last post, I thought you were going to call the police about it.  Call 889.9494 when it is happening.  The law is on the books for this reason.

I completely understand and empathize with your frustration.  Our trustees understood it years ago, so they enacted the ordinance.  Many communities have such ordinances.

Unless one has been in your shoes as the hearer of the constant barking (and as I understood your last post, having recent surgery), they will not likely understand your frustration.  Few people will call because they keep hoping it will stop or someone else will call.  It could be your neighbors are not home or they are drowning out the noise some other way.

As I see it, you have three choices - put up with it, approach your neighbor, or let the police approach your neighbor.  May you have peace soon.
