Huber Ridge Area

I have a question, hope somone can answer it...

Posted in: Huber Ridge Area

One year ago we moved in to Huber Ridge and we loved the peace and quiet. We still love  it -when there are not the grumbling of 4 wheelers or dirt bikes. We own one of the homes with the creek and the forest behind out home and THAT was the seller for us. My question is who owns the property across from the creek (in between Huber ridge and the newer development of homes)?. Last spring and summer right when we had just moved here, we saw deer in the back yard. What a beautiful sight! We couldn't wait to get a peek of them again this year, but we have not seen them. I am hoping the noise from the 4 wheelers and dirt bikes have not run them away. Who can contact on this noise? Is it legal for there to be people in the forest riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers there?

Thank you for your time.

Hi Neighbor,

I checked the auditor's website to see who owns the land by Westerville Crossing and the creek.  It belongs to the City of Columbus.  (I clicked on the parcel by the bike path that runs along the creek.)

Is it legal?  I would think not, but feel free to call the police and find out.  You can call Blendon's general number Mon-Fri before 4:30 - 882-8500 and ask.  They can help you.

Or, check for Columbus' general number and call them.

I hope I am checking the correct area for you.  I am not certain if you live on Madrid or Paris.  Some homes on Madrid have deep lots.  It they are driving on those lots, you should call Blendon police and ask.

Thank you very much, Pam. You did check the correct area- Westerville Crossing and the creek. They have made a path in the woods and they come right up where we can see them riding from inside my house. That I don't care, but we like the privacy and the noise just doesn't stop some days. Anyhow, thank you. You did answer my question:).

I did send an email to the Blendon police after my last post; so they are aware of this situation and this post.  I made no contact with Columbus police, however.
