907 THANK YOU’S
Blendon Township residents were asked to go to the polls Nov 3rd and cast two votes from a list of four qualified candidates for Trustee. Many townships were not as lucky to have a long list of candidates to choose from, some townships were to elect two trustees from a list of one. Blendon Township residents for two months had a opportunity to attend candidate Q & A’s, comb through numerous handouts, read letters and articles in the local newspapers and the HRAA’s Herald, and lastly read hundreds upon hundreds of yard signs. Residents combed through the campaign material and candidates platforms, weighed the pros and con’s, and finally got to cast their vote Tuesday. The direction of the township and who was going to lead was decided Tuesday night.
Congratulations Jan Heichel and Stew Flaherty
From the list of four candidates, Blendon Township residents elected Jan Heichel and Stew Flaherty, two qualified applicants, to lead the Township for the next four years. There clearly were two winners, but there were no losers. Each candidate has demonstrated their ability and willingness to public service, spent their hard earned money, and put themselves in the public to ask for your vote. The service demonstrated by each candidate is the reason they were able to run and is why Blendon Township has been moving forward. I may have lost the bid for your township trustee, but I have not lost the desire to make Blendon Township a place where residents can be proud to call home. As a volunteer, I still commit to these values and support Stew Flaherty and Jan Heichel as they work to achieve the same results. Your HRAA and I have worked tirelessly in the last four years to make a difference and will proudly support the efforts of the trustees to do the same.
Many of you supported me and my campaign in many fashions – THANK YOU
907 of you supported me in the election – THANK YOU
