Huber Ridge resident offers reward for return of bike

|

Last Monday my 11-year old son went to Huber Ridge Elementary School after school hours to play soccer with his friends.  At approx 5:15 pm he was assaulted by 2 known Walnut Springs Middle School students.   After the assault, he and his friends ran to his friend's house and called me.  As an ER nurse I felt that due to the nature of his injuries he needed to be evaluated by a physician and we went to the ER.   We completely forgot that he rode his bike to the school and once released from the ER we returned to the school for his bike and it was gone.

The bike is a teal blue/and black Mongoose BMX bike.  It has the words Mongoose on the frame and seat of the bike and it has numerous black spokes.   The bike is valued at $150.   Blendon Township Police are aware of the theft of the bike.

I am offering a $100 reward for the return of the bike and will double the reward for the name(s) of the person(s) that wrongfully took his bike.  I feel that boys who assaulted my son or someone who knows them, may have taken his bike.   I am one of the street representatives on Natalie Court and have lived in Huber Ridge for over 20 years.
