Are there any regulations for dog walking? There is a couple on our street who let their dogs walk off leash. They end up walking into the yards of everyone on the street, which isn't necessarily harmful, but it is really annoying. Meanwhile, my dogs are going nuts inside while they mosey along. I'm not sure the dogs are making a mess that they aren't taking care of, that isn't really the issue, but I feel they should keep their dogs close and under control out of respect for their neighbors. We walk our two dogs regularly and I couldn't imagine letting them roam free!

I don't know if this is helpful, but I found this on the Franklin County Dog Shelter website http://www.franklincountydogs.com/legalInfo/doglaws.htm :

Confining Your Dog
(Ohio Revised Code Section 955.22C)

 All dogs regardless of age must be kept confined on the premises of the owner, keeper or harborer at all times. Acceptable methods of confinement include a fence, a tethering device, a dog pen, inside a house or garage, or under adequate supervision. If you are walking your dog off of your property, you must maintain reasonable control over your dog so that it doesn’t run away (the best way to do this is to keep a leash on your dog). The maximum penalties for violations of this section are a $100 fine on the first offense, and a $250 fine and 30 days imprisonment for subsequent offenses.

I'm not aware that Blendon Township has anything additional to the Ohio Revised Code used in Franklin County.  If someone else is aware of anything additional on this subject, perhaps they will post.

I call Animal Control @ 614-901-6863 anytime I see a dog loose.

We must have the same neighbor because I've got the same problem.  I said something to the people and now they stay across the street when they are near my house! LOL! The lady let her dogs run thru my front yard, up to my fence, while my dogs were going CRAZY...letting her dogs just run wherever they want. It is SO annoying.
