Posted on the Blendon Township Facebook page was the following announcement: Blendon Township Trustees holding a special meeting this Monday June 14th at 7:30pm at the Blendon Senior Center.
This is all that was posted, so the nature of the meeting was not disclosed, but purely speculation on my part is that this may have something to do with the open Trustee position. Remaining Trustees are currently reviewing applications and trying to come to an agreement on who would best serve the township in this open role.
Personally, I hope that Mr. Flaherty and Mrs. Heichel can come to an agreement and not once again send this to a judge for a decision. The future of Blendon Township should not be sent to an outsider, someone who will not be directly impacted by this decision. Mr. Flaherty and Mrs. Heichel took an oath of office to serve THE PEOPLE of Blendon Township. Please do that.
