WOW...it is almost Christmas and I've been officially retired 17days. How did I ever have time to work...Laughing

I want to express my gratitude to ALL of You who came out into the cold evening Nov 5th to help the Department provide a truly heart felt, stunned, and very honored send off for me, as it was my last night on patrol as a full time police officer for you "the community". During the event I was presented a bronzed hat which I've been wanting to do for myself for years. Those of you that contributed to the cause....THANK YOU....THANK YOU.

It will forever be treasured by me and my family!

It has been a pleasure working for all of you and foremost becoming friends with most residents.

Have a great holiday season and safe New Year. Smile

I'm hoping to be back soon in a part time status to further be a part of the forward movement of Blendon Township.

Sincerely

Ret. Sgt Branch S. Wayt

Dear Sgt. Wayt, No doubt many others wanted to join the celebration but were hindered by responsibilities, and yes, the cold. Those of us fortunate to attend came because we sincerely appreciate you and your family - your sacrifice of time and service on our behalf. You were truly an advocate for our community; may God raise up many to be just like you. We need advocates and we need men and women of integrity in leadership positions such as yours and others. I pray regularly for the police officers in this regard. I also pray that God will protect them from all harm and evil - just as He protected you. Chief Belford and others who orchestrated your memorable send-off deserve thanks from the community as well. We responded to their special honors for you. You deserved the honors - every one. Thank you, for your kindness, respect, and help to me while serving as Block Watch Coordinator. Merry Christmas, Pam Clegg
