My husband and I (sort of . . . ) found a cat when we were walking our dogs last night.
We were at the corner of Cairo and Brazzaville and two young girls were holding a cat they found and said the poster for it was just down the street. They had to get home to worried moms so we said we would take the cat. After finding the poster and agreeing that it matched the cat we finally got hold of the person who posted the flyer and took the cat there. When we got there, he said it wasn't his.
So, we took the cat home and this morning I knocked on a few doors at the corner where we found it. One lady told me she thought it was a cat that had been abandoned by some neighbors who just moved out on Cairo. I'm trying to find out if there is an owner somewhere looking for this cat or if we need to treat it as a foster and find it a new home. We'll be posting pics on petfbi.com, contacting shelters for postings, etc., but I thought I'd start here!
The cat is male, gray and white striped, white on it's face, smallish (less than 10 pounds) and extremely friendly. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
