The Phelps Acre park on the corner of Dempsey Road and Hempstead Road is in need of big enhancements. Budgets are tight and we do not have funding at the current time to implement ideas. Spread the word.  My high school won a grant last year through this program and it was done by asking people to ask friends to vote for it as well.  It's easy to do and can be done daily.  Actually you get 5 votes a day so once you vote for the Blendon Township project you have 4 more votes you can cast for other projects.  When my high school won they partnered with some of these other projects and their people voted for my high school and vice versa...but most of the votes came from current students and alumni asking friends and family.  Please consider supporting this quick initiative that will take just seconds from your day......and could potentially upgrade this park at no cost to the taxpayers!
