Are cars allowed to park in the drive way where the car is blocking/parked on the sidewalk?

Even my dog shows his unapproval only the way a dog can.

Thanks!

I don't believe it is legal to park as such, however I know we've had to do it a few times.  We are a 4-car family - 2 adults & 2 teenagers, we have no garage, and we only have a single file driveway.  The curb across the street is a no parking zone.  All of these elements added together make it a necessity to pull as many of our cars into the driveway as possible and sometimes block the sidewalk when on-street parking is at a premium.  I hate to do it, but have no choice at times.  I like to walk at night for exercise and I know it bugs me to have to walk around the cars too and I hope no one is parking that way unnecessarily.
