Eligibility: To be eligible for this contest and show, you must live in the Huber Ridge Area. A garden may be repeated on the tour if it has not been part of the tour the previous two years. Ideally, we would like to limit the number of participants to 15; judges reserve the right to allow more if feasible.
All participants agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Participants will receive a yard sign. This is to promote Huber Ridge Bl??»??»ms and to indicate participation in the tour. The sign should remain visible in your front yard until the day of the show and then returned to judges Pam Clegg or Sharon Ricker at the Gardener's Reception.
2. All competing gardens will be judged July 5-13, hours and days yet to be determined.
3. All participants agree to maintain a smoke-free, alcohol-free, pet-free, safe yard during the tour and judging hours.
4. Participants agree to be host/hostess on the day of the tour for the entire four hours; 1-5 p.m. This is for your safety as well as for the safety of those touring. If you can not be home July 15, then please enter another year.
5. Winners of the garden show will be announced at our annual Gardener’s Reception, held in Ridgewood Park, July 15, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. You are expected to attend this event! After all, you worked hard and deserve refreshment! Remember to return your Bl??»??»ms sign when you come.
Prizes:
1st place - $100 gift card to a home improvement store (donated by Stew Flaherty, Blooms Chairman)
2nd place - $50 gift card to Oakland Nursery (donated by Sharon Ricker, judge and co-coordinator)
3rd place - $35 cash (courtesy of the Huber Ridge Area Association, sponsor)
Remaining participants will receive gift bags with GREAT perks (courtesy of the HRAA, sponsor)
