Huber Ridge Area

Hi All,

I just discovered these boards while researching some resources for my father, who will be moving out of the Ridge after 43 years (!).

Forgive me if this information exists somewhere (and links to any existing topics appreciated), but I live in Atlanta, my brother in DC, and we're a little overwhelmed trying to remotely manage our father's move (he's mid-70's).

The first thing I'm thinking of is helping him pare down his possessions. Some things he just won't let go of, and some things that seem better suited to a garage sale. He mentioned a Ridge-wide garage sale that happens periodically, where everyone has a sale on the same day and shares in the advertising costs.

Does anyone have information on this? Is he mistaken?

Also, is there a section of this site where residents can offer things for sale / give away? I'm thinking items like lawn and garden equipment, pots and pans, golf clubs, etc. Things that may appeal to people who aren't garage sale people.

Any help would be appreciated.

The neighborhood garage sale already passed for the summer.  I would ask the admininstator about what is allowed as far as posting things for sale :)

I think it is the blendon township but there doesn't seem to be a way to comtact another member.  I did find this link http://www.huberridge.org/contact_list, maybe someone there would know....  You could alywas start a new thread with the question in the title
