I was wondering if anything has ever been tried to reduce the speeding on Cairo Rd. I have notice a lot of speeders in this area and the fact that it is by the school is really scary.
Just wondering if speed bumps have ever been considered ????

Speed bumps will only be put in place after months of surveying. And have you seen any in Huber? I tried to get one on the Manila Curve, but to no availe. Come watch these idiots come around my curve on the wrong side. They WON"T do it when a police vehicle is sitting there watching. Imagine that!!!!! |

Speed bumps were considered several years ago, but the fire chief provided input that indicated emergency response time would be impeded. That ended the discussion. Request the police speed trailer on your street and keep requesting it. Then check the results on the BT website.

I don't think that a police speed trailer is going to any good..it was there a few times last summer and it did not at all seem to help with the speeders. Also it seem to be more of a play toy for kids on skate boards and their bikes. Why couldn't a blendon officer sit on the corner of Saigon and Cairo that would be the perfect spot, and also it needs to be done at night it amazes me that I can hear the cars flying down the street at night !!! |
