At the January 3rd HRAA Monthly Meeting, the members will select from a list of
candidates for the President and Vice President positions for the 2013 term. Carolyn and Eric Cordray have served the community in these positions this past year and have other interests calling them away from continued leadership this next year. The words "Thank You" just don't convey enough meaning for all they have done in service to our community.
Now is the time for others to rise to the occasion and allow their names to be placed on the ballot by the Nominating Committee. But “why me?” you might ask. “Why not someone else? I don't know many people in our community, and I don't know if I can help lead our organization with over 200 members representing 1800+ households.” I wonder if Carolyn and Eric had similar thoughts a few years ago. Your Nominating Committee will meet again on Thursday (11/29) to finalize the slate of candidates for 2013. Please give serious thought to offering your name for President or Vice President and contact Sharon Ricker (committee chair) at 891-1881 by Thursday morning. She will be glad to review the President’s duties with you. This would be a great opportunity to not only serve your community, but also enhance your resume if you’re looking to do that.
