Hi Ashley,
I hope you decide to join our community. You'll find that this neighborhood of 1600+ homes is actually pretty homey but best of all there are very friendly neighbors. Big things are happening within our township too to improve a variety of things namely we just voted in a JEDZ to help draw in more businesses and we also voted in Home Rule. But getting back to the neighborhood, you'll also find that something somewhat unique to Huber is that many people who were raised here, often times bring their own families back because of the great community feel. My husband is one such person. Actually at one time his parents, his grandmother and his great aunt all had homes in the Ridge. We bought his grandmother's home and raised our son here. Additionally we have many very long time residents. Some are original owners living in some of the first homes built in the Ridge....last year we celebrated the 50th anniversary of this community!
We also have a VERY active association, Huber Ridge Area Association, Inc. which includes an alert and active Blockwatch program. We have many events throughout the year, coming up with have a few that you can see on the main page and just this year we added concerts in the park, but we also have many vehicles for communication including this board, but also a Facebook page, quarterly newsletters as well as monthly association meetings.
Residents do a lot of work to keep their home values from dropping. Of course there are the ones that don't but for the most part neighbors care about their homes and invest in them. Just this past weekend we had our annual garden show that showcased many of the beautiful gardens built and maintained by our talented neighbors. I always say some of the best kept secrets in this neighborhood are the gardens!
Well, hope to hear from you soon when you decide to move in!
