The Westerville Fire Division's responsibilities include fire suppression, emergency medical and fire prevention programs. Three fire stations strategically positioned in the City allow the Fire Division to provide 4-minute average emergency response time. These stations include Station 111 at 400 W. Main Street, Station 112 at 727 E. Schrock Road, and Station 113 at 355 N. Spring Street.
Fire prevention through training and education is emphasized to reduce the risk of major fire damage ever occurring. The Fire Division teaches courses to residents of all ages. The Fire Division also works closely with schools, conducting fire prevention programs to 90% of all pre-school, kindergarten, first and third grade classes in Westerville.
The Fire Division's Annual Report is made available on the City's web page to allow citizen's ready reference to Fire and EMS activities. The annual report provides online statistical information detailing the division's activities for the most recent calendar year.
The Fire Division was recognized for the seventh year with the prestigious Life Safety Achievement Award for our educational programs and rapid response times. Call the Fire Division if you would like a free, in-home fire safety inspection at (614) 901-6600.
