An announcement from Blendon Township Administrator, Bryan Rhoads:
A few rat sightings have some area residents concerned. I talked with the Board of Health and the only solution is to educate the public about trash storage and eliminating the food source.
Bryan also indicated that a public education on how to get rid of the rats is commenced and has asked our association to post some information for the public on how to achieve that. He sent along a pamphlet published by the New York City Department of Helath & Mental Hygiene entitled "Preventing Rats on Your Property, A Guide for Property Owners and Tenants". Seems to be some useful information for Blendon Township residents as well.
This guide is available on our HRAA website just below this posting.
Residents, if you have any questions about getting rid of rats please contact Franklin County Board of Health. 614-525-3160
