This evening, 8/5/10 between 6:45 and 8:30, my son's Huffy BMX bike was stolen from in front of our garage. We live on Brazzaville Rd. (the road that dumps into the shopping center parking lot).
The bike is a Huffy BMX (20 inch I think), it is powder blue with black paint splattered on it, and black lettering (I think it says Destroyer...) and black pegs on the wheels. There is something about the bike that will make it easy for us to identify, but I don't want to share that detail publicly. |

Did you file a police report? The police recover many bikes throughout the year as some individuals take them for a ride just to get somewhere and dump them. with a report and a special identification mark as you stated they may run accross it and be able to return it to you. I as well as many individuals who see the post will keep an eye out. |

I hope you are talking about the serial number, that would be the most important thing to know about your bike before it gets stolen. |

I suggest that everyone register all their bicycles with the Blendon Township Police. They have a program set up that will record all the pertinent information in case the bike is stolen. I know this works, since my son's was returned to him almost a year after having been stolen. |
