Hi, Neighbor.
At the last trustee meeting, Carolyn Cordray brought up this issue and pressed for a good answer. Trustee Flaherty responded accordingly as he directed Bryan Rhoads to again pursue the matter and the last I heard, the matter is indeed going to court.
I will be amazed if this house does NOT pose a problem for the sale of your home.
You are correct, our neighborhood does have so much potential. I have always maintained that the best resource for improvement lies with each of us. We need to care about our own properties, to be sure, but while we do that, it is so important that we care for the community as a whole.
I used to think that if I cared for our own property, that the rest would take care as well. That is not reality. A unified voice, a unified community, a volunteering community, and a caring community are what makes the difference. Many do this already, but many do not.
So many know that Huber Homes has long ignored their properties. A positive note; since Bryan Rhoads has become the code enforcement director, he has established a better working relationship with Huber. I have seen more response from them in the last three years than I have seen in the prior 21 I have lived here. They have a long way to go.
So I hope the home gets attention and you get a fair price for your home. I wish you success.
