First Aqua bill arrived and rate increase took effect. More for water, more for sewer - I am SO surprised - NOT. last month's bill for 3 ccf 55.66 with OAW; this month's Aqua bill for 3 ccf 66.25. GREAT anger, and yes, I wrote letters, etc. There is no hope. Sorry, I will not be convinced. So they get 11.00 more each month from us AT LEAST. Forbid that we use more water and give them more.

WATER BILL ERROR MESSAGE Some former customers of Ohio American Water (OAW) received their first water bill from their new water service provider, Aqua Ohio yesterday.  Because of challenges in converting customer data between the companies, some customers who receive both sewer and water service were mistakenly charged a $9.51 service fee twice (once for water service and once for sewer treatment service).  Bills should only include one such charge.

Thanks to Trustee James Welch and other Huber Ridge residents who alerted us to the issue, Aqua Ohio was able to discover the root of the problem and fix it before many bills were printed and mailed (not everyone is billed on the same day).  Because of the quick notice, Aqua Ohio was also able to alert their customer service representatives and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio so that they could respond when customers called.

Customers who have been charged the extra $9.51 have two options.  If they would like to call the Aqua Customer Service Center  (877.WTR.AQUA or 877.987.2782) they may request a corrected balance for this billing cycle. If customers choose to do nothing their next water bill will show a credit (or reduction of $9.51).

If what Jeff is stating is true, why is it that when i called today (5/21 at 412pm) to complain about the 9.51 sewer "fee", I was told "We charge a 9.51 sewage minimum and a 9.51 water minimum". I was basically told "too bad". Not only that, when I had my water service turned on in Jan, the meter reading was 3168. I get my "new" bill, and it states that my beginning reading on April 10 was 3100...effectively charging me for an additional 508 gallons that I did not use.  Your customer service sucks.
