After reading several other comments about Huber Home Rentals, which were rather discouraging, I felt it necessary to add my comments. Originally, in 2000, when we were attempting to relocate to this area (Huber Ridge) we contacted Huber Home Rentals and, lo and behold, their timely response (or lack of it) was the same as it is today in 2012. So, instead of renting, we ended up buying (that was before we knew about the high, atrocious water bills)--we like our home and our location but it is expensive to live here.
Why our local Blendon Township government allows Huber Homes to have homes in this area, un-rented and certainly not well-cared for, is beyond me. There are homes sitting empty for months and months, detracting from the value of the area homes, and Huber Home Rentals makes not effort to turn them around and get them rented out. Yes, I am in the property management business--primarily apartments--and I understand what it takes to turn someting to make it decent, safe and sanitary and rentable. Perhaps if local government, as well as Huber Homes, read the Ohio Revised Code pertaining to maintaining of homes, they might take more pride and get their homes rented and our subdivision might look a lot better
Right now I know of a young couple who are trying to rent a home in this area--they have contacted Huber Home Rentals--but received the same, discourteous service that we received in 2000. Go figure why they are still in business--I certainly can't.
