I'm discovering the disadvantages of living in blendon township because we are not residents of Westerville. Tried to register for a composting class at the Westerville rec center but non-residents couldn't register ...wonder if blendon township could offer a class like this as there are so many benefits for enthusiastic gardeners like me!

Hello, Neighbor!
Great suggestion! I will forward your request to Claudia Carney, the HRAA secretary, who has asked residents for ideas on speakers at our monthly HRAA meetings. Someone will be certain to follow up on this and try to get this class for our residents. We will let you know soon what can be worked out. We were already looking for a garden topic for one of our spring meetings. This may be it!
Meanwhile, because you have labeled yourself as an enthusiastic gardener, keep in mind that our neighborhood hosts a garden tour and contest each July. Be sure to sign up to be part of the tour, if you are willing, and show off your skills. Sharon Ricker and I coordinate this well-attended event.
We are an energized community, so I hope to see/meet you at one of our monthly meetings. So much is happening in the community that will make our township a great place to live!
Warm Regards,
Pam Clegg, neighbor |

Thanks for your reply Pam. I was debating who to ask/ forward on to. My garden is a work in progress I unfortunately don't have the budget To beautify it as much as I would like but I could participate as a judge maybe. I'm trying to do more organic gardening though and save costs any way I can by composting and last year I got a rain barrel which everyone should in blendon township since the water bills are high!

email me and let us talk about your assisting with judging.
Meanwhile, I emailed our conversation to the people who can help and you may hear from someone soon about this matter!
