You are totally right with your comments, as of 2005 the laws changed to be able to acess the taxes of the home owners in a township for sidewalk repairs.But beware of what you ask for, I'm sure our elderly residents will appreciate an extra $3000.00 on there taxes to replace the sidewalk in front of there homes, especially with the new water increase due to all the changes being made at the water department, and the water company asking for more to pay for the change? so yes your commments are all great lets keep upping our taxes so no one can live in our community, this is one of the best ideas any one has had, we already pay one of the largest tax bills for a wonderful school district, with large buildings and top paid administrators... So yes I'm being a devils advocate here, be careful what you wish for it will cost us all in the end and is this what we really want, or do we want the current board of trustees that can squeeze a dime till it hurts with out raising your taxes to death. Lack of leadership
We have a number of issues that have been neglected. The trustee ignored my questions at the q&a on Wednesday. We need a change in leadership NOW. If we had stronger enforcement of current laws maybe we would not have half -way houses that have felons as occupants moving in. After complaining at least the freezer that was in the front yard of a house on Cairo is now gone. Maybe the debris will be next. We can only hope. |
