I apologize if this is a topic that has been discussed many times before. I have been a resident on Panama Drive for nearly 10 years. It was not until after I moved that I noticed how many rental homes are in our neighborhood. In fact, with the exception of one house, I am surrounded by them. One in the front, 5 houses behind me and 2 to the right side. I can drive down my street and point out each and every home that is owned by Huber Home Rentals because of the lack of care and maintenance they neglect. Most of them are completely obvious because they are vacant and have no window treatments.
My biggest concern is regarding the house directly next to me (3690 Panama Dr). I notified Huber Homes Rentals that the 2nd floor window had been busted out months ago, maybe the beginning of winter or earlier. It appears that they repaired the window. However, the busted glass is still laying all over the roof over the garage. Today, my dog was outside and went into the yard. As I followed her, I noticed that now the lower level front window is busted out and there is glass everywhere. I walked around the house to see if there was any other damage to the house. I discovered that the sliding glass doors have been removed andit is boarded up. I tried to contact Huber Home Rentals and their voicemail is full. I will try again tomorrow...I am just so frustrated. I am embarrassed to have company over anymore because of how awful the houses on my street look.
My family and I are beginning to outgrow our home and are considering moving. We would like to place our house on the market this summer. I am afraid that this house next to us is going to cause a great deal of hardship on having a successful sale. I wish there was a way to get Huber Home Rentals to realize that if they invested in their homes, that they would have a much easier times filling the abundance of vacant homes in our neighborhood.
