I just received my water bill the other day and it was even more rediculous than usual... I think it was $134 this month. Usually we hover around 110. Did the rate actually go up or did Aqua just decide I used more water this month? (I say it this way because I actually asked to see them do a "reading" because I didn't think it was being read properly and they said no).

Any insight is appreaciated :)

I know the winter/summer rates have expired for the summer and this may have increased your sewer portion of your total bill. Aqua uses your average water usage in the months of dec, jan, and feb to determine your sewage charges for the months of may - sept. Please feel free to contact me and we can go over your bill to see if there is an error or the summer rate expiration is the issue.

I experienced the same thing.  My sewer usage was higher because the summer rates had expired and I was charged for regular sewer usage not winter usage. Check your summer bills and you will see the difference in the sewer charge.

This month it was $181...

We're looking to move at this point. As if it's not enough we pay exorbitantly high taxes for sub-par schools, we're now going broke to pay for a necessary utility. And no, we're not willing to not flush our toilets or take other disgusting measures to cut a
water bill...

My only question at this point is why has PUCO let it get this way?
